Summary of Project

Voces y Sentimientos is a community participatory research project that intended to understand the experience of diabetes self-management from the perspective of uninsured Latinos. Eleven participants in the project documented their experiences, feelings, concerns, messages to policy makers, messages to the Latino community and their ideas about diabetes and Latino health in general.

Exhibit Contents

Powerful photographic images and important written messages.
In its entirety, the exhibit consists of 28 11’’x14’’  or 16"x20" framed photographs accompanied by 56 (English and Spanish) 5’’x7’’ framed narratives.

Required Physical Space

30 linear feet for a small exhibit
60 linear feet for a medium exhibit
90 linear feet for a large exhibit
(Linear footage does not need to be contiguous space)

Participation/Sponsorship Fee

Sponsoring Fees range from $900 to $2,200 depending on print size and number of photos.
(Includes photo printing, frames, packing, installation supplies, installation design, installation coordination, installation labor, exhibit vinyl signage, packing, delivery and administrative costs) Cost of venue not included.

Timeframe

Allow a minimum of three weeks for planning and coordination
